I’ve seen many Christmas shows at the Empire and this is my favourite. Like a panto but also like a movie. The Vivien was a fantastic villain and the girl who played Dorothy has such a beautiful voice — loved her over the rainbow it was the best. But mostly loved how it all looked —so imaginative. All the animations throughout was really clever — with loads of Easter eggs - love the nods to the original movie . The twister was fantastic and the band sounded amazing My daughter was in the edge of her seat. Only drawback is was really hard from my seat to see things. We were on the side and the stage smoke at times especially, seem to make all the color really dull and hard to see the stage, which is a shame as all the visuals were so amazing and full of details. We weren’t always convinced by all of the story choices -wish there were more laughs . Many of the humorous bits were rushed However overall really recommended — a really high quality show, perfect for the entire family

Missed half the show as scenes were at side or rear of stage so very little time spent front and centre for all to see. No reason at all why toto wasn't a toy dog instead it was followed around by a human in overalls. Witch killed with fire extinguisher shocking . Didn't sing follow the yellow brick road. Witches rode motorcycles. School production
